Great shot

A rare honor, peak of the day as well as peak of the week. Well done and congratulations.

Re: Great shot

Thanks, Dean! I thought that was kind of funny...these are the only two photos I've ever had get Pic of the Day (or week) so it's funny that they happened simultaneously.

Aaaaaaaaaa ...

How did you get the sky to turn out so blue?

This was taken in the Pacific NW? (Last time I went over Chinook Pass, the skies were so grey I had to scrape them with a knife. Awesome picture!

Re: Aaaaaaaaaa ...

Thanks, Larry! The secret to getting skies like that in the PNW is to go in September on a good weekend (September often has great weather here)...there are no crowds after Labor Day and the temps are cooler so there isn't much of a haze in the sky so you can get really clear views.

Nice!

I'm sceduled to summit Sept 19! I really hope I'm as lucky as you were. Had some bad luck last year in late July with a storm front.

Re: Nice!

Best of luck with your climb! That's later in the season than I like to be up there, but hopefully you will have a safe trip.
