Seriously,

what is that in the background?

It looks like a golf course on the edge of a
lake! There's such thing as "golf courses"
in British Columbia? Just curious ...

Ha Ha! Yes, that's a golf course alright. Here's another picture from a little further away.

The course hadn't greened up yet as the snow had only been gone for about a week.

We have some BEAUTIFUL golf courses here. In our valley we have at least 25 courses within 2 hours of my house of which at least 15 are championship courses. Weather is generally pretty mild in the Okanagan Valley so we're generally golfing from Mid March until late October.
