Powder day on memorial day weekend! Awesome skiing, did several laps.
Amassing view of Dana, Gibbs and Mammoth Peak. Can't believe lower Gaylor lake is still frozen this time of year
Can't beat the views for the minimal effort expended
Did this as a short acclimation hike on our way to Cottonwood Basin for a backpack trip. Incredible views - the effort to scenery ratio is crazy. Surprised more people don't hike this one.
Up the trail with my wife and son. They (well, my 7 y.o. son, actually) pooped out on saddle near Gaylor Lakes. I made a quick dash to the top while they rested.
Beginning of a long day from Tioga Pass. First up Gaylor, over to False White Mountain, and then White Mountain. Gaylor Lakes still mostly frozen over. Great views all day.
This has become one of my fave workouts.
Descending a route through the high alpine moraine field down to the outlet for gaylor lakes. Very quiet walk; well worth the extra mile or two for a little solitude.
Great views all around and Dana looked huge. I was not expecting almost knife edge summit. All around fun climb and a great warm up for Dana right across the road.
It was getting late when I started, so I had to turn on the gas. I was rewarded with sunset on Gaylor Peak. Very fun.
...on the summit in '93! Also 3 more times.
Hiked from Tioga pass when I was 7. Took shortcut on way to mine by going down North-West side. Summit views were great. Easy hike from saddle, a little harder on the NW side.
Hiked to the top & then hiked out Gaylor Lakes & Granite Lakes. An easy and enjoyable day.
A quick early morning hike up from Tioga Pass TH. Cool and wind free at the summit.
Nice trip to the top with some good views of the park.
what a beautiful spot! great views of Dana!
Afternoon bonus peak after a highly enjoyable hike up Mt. Hoffmann that morning. 53-minutes car-to-car. Nice snow ridge lingering at the top.
a good peak if you need to stretch your legs.
A nice birthday tramp. After the EZ summit, I explored the Gaylor Lakes, Dana City and Granite Lakes. My most favorite landscape!
