However hiking to the Kondracka pass and final climb were very pleasent, there were too many people on the top. Nevertheless summit view is forth an effort.
An exceptional day, as I spent 30 minutes on the peak and there was nobody else but me. Climbed from Kościelisko, yellow trail to Kondracka Przełęcz. Came back through Hala Kondratowa, where it began to rain heavily.
From Kuznoce via Hala Kondratowa
Reached the summit via Hala Kondratowa. A sudden outburst of rain and hailstorm didn't allow us to stay by the cross longer than a couple of minutes.
Route climbed: Dolina Strazyska- Giewont- Hala Kondratowa-Kuznice in 12 July 2008.
Very strong even stormy wind that day and breaking my fear of height. First "Bigger" Mountain I've climbed. Not very easy for nearly ten-year-old boy but I managed it with my parent's help.
Second time in September 2014. I cannot remember the exactly date.
Route Climbed : Dolina Malej Laki Valley- Giewont- Hala Kondratowa- Kuznice
Sunny weather and good views during both trips.
Descided not to summit due to massive ques of people waiting to use the chains.
Climbed from Kuznice via Kondratowa, blue marked trail. Quiet ascent since I started late in the afternoon, made the summit easily within 3 hours arriving 17:35, and had the place all to myself... sun sets at 20:30 these days so wasn't concerned about the hour. Unexpectedly beautiful view on both sides, will return for another visit via a different trail up. Descent is a workout for the knees!
There's something about this one, hard to explain.
I understand why poles admire this mountain. Special and beautiful mountain indeed. A pleasant hike from Kuznice.
I'm pretty sure I didn't wake him up. Hopefully he never has to. Great Hike
for every Polish mountain maniac
... but there is always too much crowd. from Kopa Kondracka in summer and last time from Dolina Strazyska in winter.
Summer or late spring.
Nice approach but a crowded route.
easy hike(in summer), but beautiful sights. overcrowded all summer
I have a date with my girlriend. We seen sunrise on Giewont.
I was very young, with a friend from school and a teacher.
My first time in Tatra Mountains and second time in any mountains beside Karkonosze. Now I make up for lost time :-)
We were 11am on the top and very few (~10) people on the summit.
Clear weather, done about a hundred pictures:)
