Why?

Bad weather? Not enough food? Out of shape? :)

Re: Why?

Great guess Deb :) . we had bad weather the day before and all the morning until noon.(extremely high winds sweeping all the snow and ice from northern slops all overthe NE ridge and us!)2-actually we had two packs of powder soup left and we could hang in there for 2-3 more days with them but forecasts were showing that that day was our last day of good weather and we lost half of the summit day waiting for the wind to calm dowm a little so lost our chance to attempt summit. and finaly yes we both were exhausted from the day before because we got to camp2 at about 10 pm due to high wind and cold temperature (we were supposed to get there at about 5-6 pm). pretty bad combination of reasons !!!!! but i'm gonna get there again for a winter climb :)... take care of your self and your lovely family Deb and keep up having fun my friend ..
