Goat herd on Bomber Peak.

Goat herd on Bomber Peak.

This mountain goat herd was encountered once reaching the top of Bomber Peak on the Timpanogos Ridge. What was surprising is that this herd did not seem to mind my company at all. There was no need for a telephoto lens for this shot, was able to walk right up to them for photos. After not seeing any goats on the previous two trips up the mountain, this moment made up for it. This goat herd and the others on the mountain are descendants of a herd of 10 originally transplanted from the Olympic National Park area in Washington State, in 1981. Photo taken July 24, 2009.

Really nice ...

Do you have a specific information link on
what date the transportation of the animals occurred?

Was that done by the Fish & Game Department?

Intresting......

I did not know that about the Billy Goats in Utah. Looks like you found quite the gathering on Mount Timpanogos. Thanks for capturing the moment.
