Start from the Golden Cliffs parking lot (see main description).
Leave the lot by the obvious trail which soon begins switchbacking to under the cliffs. It is .5 miles and 460 ft to the base of the cliffs.
At the base of the cliff, go left (west) until you reach a cleft in the cliff band that allows easy access to the top. Once at the top head to the visual highpoint which is the actual highpoint. Isn't that nice? Along the way you will pass an old quarry.
There is a jeep track that you can follow most of the way.
Expect 45-50 minutes to reach the summit from the parking lot.
Depending on where you cross the cliff, 3rd, 4th, and 5th class variations are possible.
Nothing more than you would usually carry for a 2 hour hike close to home. Of course why not bring your climbing gear and stay awhile?
