Took the wife and kids out.
Nice to make summit of something beautiful when you are not 100%.
My wife and I and our daughter, Hannah, who has Cerebral Palsy and some learning disabilities, summited this scenic spot.
Deception Pass is our cold/flu spot. Huh? ... yep, my daughter and I breath deep the fresh salt air as we jaunt the quick and easy trail to Goose Rock. We ALWAYS feel better! Don't try to get away with not having a Northwest Forest Pass here - Rangers are very vigilant during the peak season.
With the whole fam damily. Never even knew this was here...
I can't count how many times I've been to the top of Goose Rock. I'm beginning to wonder what constitutes a summit worthy of a SP page.
Came up here back in 1990 while staying at Coronet Bay, which was a private camp at the time.
Tagged this and a few other bumps on New Years Day. A pleasant viewpoint.
Got dropped off at the bridge while my wife was at a meeting. Easy to do with the kids in the hour she was gone. My pictures and map at http://www.willhiteweb.com/washington/deception_pass_state_park/information_133.htm
BearQueen wasn't feeling well and the weather wasn't looking good so we went for this summit. Nice little summit!
