Gorges du Rébenty and Col du Pradel

This pass is east-northeast of Ax-les-Thermes, on the border of the département de l'Aude and the département de l'Ariège.

From Ax-les-Thermes to Rodome over the Col du Pradel (1679m) and then back to Ax-les-Thermes over the long and steep Port de Pailhères (2001m) makes for a great day cycling in a very quiet corner of the French Pyrenees. Hikers will find a GR on the Col du Pradel.
