Got 3 skis, how about some snow? Winter in the inner valleys of Altay
On a steppe trail along Katun' River, downstream from the confluence with Argut. The snow evaporates almost completely by mid-winter in the dry inner valleys of Altay, but often, the ice of the frozen rivers remains a good skiing option. And the three skis in Crosser's pack? One is a light spare, a must-have for a 16-day mountain-crossing backpack like ours.
