Nicely Done!

Good perspective shot, Sarah! Good choice on the climb of Red Mountain (I gather you did not pay Frank Bangmarter the fee-he "owns" the mountain). You still missed something by not going over to the short hike I told you about! Go to the Golden Horn page and scroll down to a single photo that will give you a clue as to what you missed!

Re: Nicely Done!

Um, er...of COURSE I paid Mr. Bangmarter the fee for hiking his mountain. I think Deb's come over to The Dark Side...I wanted to do a wildflower hike because I thought she'd be sick of pandering to my summit obsession, but...hitting another peak was actually her idea! -Sarah

Re: Good thinking,

Larry,

At least one of the many Red Mountains in the San Juans is privately owned by Mr. B. The summit of one of these, in particular, is very tightly guarded...I guess the only way up is to pay for a jeep tour.

Re: Good thinking,

WOW, that's nice to know.

In a place where I once worked, there was a
'Mrs. B.' She thought she owned everything
around her. Funny how some people think.
