Granite crevasse?
One of many rock channels found on Granite Dome, formed by a separation in the granite. In summer, this can provide countless opportunities for bouldering, but be careful if hiking on snow pack during Spring. Some of these hidden "crevasses" are 30ft deep. A fall through a snow bridge could be fatal. Photo taken above and to the south of Middle Lewis Lake, just below the summit of Granite Dome, August 17, 2003.
