Graue Wand- Winterstock

Graue Wand- Winterstock

In this view from Chli Bielenhorn we can see, on the other side of the valley (Albert Heim hutte) : - the Gletschorn (page on SP) - the quota 3172 known for its S wall : the Graue Wand (Grey wall) that hosts some of the finest rock routes of the area like the Niedermann (classic - 6°/5.10) and the Cannibal Island (very hard 9°-/5.12b) - the Winterstock - whose SSE ridge to the S summit is a wonderful and difficult route (6°A2 or 7°/5.11b)

Very useful!

I'm planning to make a page of the Graue Wand (with the Niedermann). I only need some information about the normal route on the Graue Wand (wich I don't know). Thanks for posting this picture!

Ciao, Jurgen

Re: Very useful!

I don't know about a "normal route"
I can remember that descending was a little complicated ...
