My first 14er!
A great peak for my first time in the Rockies. A bit chilly, a lot of wildlife, and great views!

plenty snow
Was able to drive to 1 mile from summer trailhead. Plenty snow, saw bunch of folks ski/snowboard down, very COOL. Nice weather, followed the footprints up to Grays Peak.

My 1st 14er
8/17/03 - My 1st 14er, climbed in fog and snow and was bummed I couldn't go on to Torreys due to the weather.
7/25/04 - Climbed Torreys' Kelso Ridge and traversed to Grays. Loved it.
3/1/08 - Winter ascent of Torreys' Kelso Ridge and then traverse to Grays. Fun!
6/4/10 - Climbed Torreys' Emperor Couloir and traversed to Grays.
1/26/13 - Traverse from Loveland Pass. Set up car shuttle at Steven's Gulch (could drive all the way to to the summer TH). 6 hrs car to car.
11/19/17 - Kelso Ridge then over to Grays. From I-70.

Snowy, May 2012
Combined with Torreys. Was on snow almost the whole time - did it with micro spikes and poles. People were up there with face masks, helmets, axes, crampons. Others were trying with tennis shoes. Gotta love it. Did it hungover and ended up getting altitude sickness and was the most light headed I've ever been. Some guy gave me ibuprofen at the bottom but I didn't even try to drive my car for a good 45 minutes once I got down.

Nice hike
Nice day, nice hike, I was going to attempt Grays and Torreys but I got to the split and had to turn around because of a bad knee.

Snowy Summit
Nice hike, poor weather. It snowed the night before. Started early in the morning and hit more snow on the way up and on the ground. Hit the summit and it must have been ~15 degrees up there and windy. No views but still a great bit of exercise.

My 20th & 21st
Grays & Torreys via Stephens Gulch. Great day with 19 other men from Christ Church Plano. 8 of us got the double, with another 3 or 4 successfully bagging Grays. Pretty hike down in the Gulch and fantastic views at the summits.

After Torreys Peak
Easy hike up to the summit. Summited Torreys Peak first via Kelso Ridge, that was the highlight of the day, awesome and fun scramble!
The hardest thing... was going back to the TH. I had to yield to the crowds going up. It took me almost 2 hours just to get back to the parking lot.
Other than that.. awesome morning!

Easy...
Getting buzzed on the summit by two F-16s was the highlight of the day. Otherwise, the crowds.....
