There is a small parking area where the Tuscarora Trail crosses SR 55, but it's on the south side of the road, not the north side. It is 1.8 miles west of VA 609. There is a "TUSCARORA TRAIL" sign there. However, the trail is not where the sign is; it is slightly to the west, where there is a "ROAD CLOSED" sign.

Waites Run RoadIt's Waites Run Road, not Whites Run Road. The trick to finding it from Route 55 is to follow the signs that say "City Park."
