Ground Squirrel at Mt. St. Helens

This small Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel at Mt. St. Helens seemed very interested in me when I was taking pictures of it. As soon as it realized that I wasn't going to feed it, it ran away.

Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel

Nice shot Mark. It's a squirrel. They are often mistaken for chipmunks because of their small size.

Thanks for the comment! I love squirrels and chipmunks too, no matter how many times they raid the birdfeeder.
