AmazingFantastic set of shots from Iceland Brian including this one, of course! Can't believe the mix of colors terrain has there, great work to capture it right way!

Re: AmazingThanks much! This is a really unique area in Iceland where the colors are very interesting. If you ever get the chance, go there. Appreciate your nice comments. Thanks.

Your LearningThis is one of the best I've seen you take so far. It actually comes close to some that I took on Rainer and in Alaska.

Re: Your LearningThanks, man. Thanks for stopping by to check the shots out. Now, if we can only get those leaves to cooperate this time in October....

Beutiful colorsProbably typical of Iceland as I remember going to an exhibition a year ago and coming away with a similar feeling - browns and greens and yellows and blacks. Well, probably not yellows.

Re: Beutiful colorsThanks. There actually was a bit of yellow too. Reds and pinks too. Glad you got to go there, it's a great place.

Re: Beautiful colorsWell, the exhibition was _about_ Iceland and not _in_ Iceland :-( Hope to go there one day though.

Re: Beautiful colorsOh, bummer. I would suggest going in July or August. Outside of that and it might be kind of cold and dark.

Re: Great!Yes, you are corect. This was in Landmannalaugar Park just west of the main campground maybe a few kilometers. If you hike up west from the campground away from the river there, you climb over a lava wall into this valley. Was a great place and I hope to go back in the next couple of years as well.
Thanks,
Brian

Hello Brian,I gave it vote #50.
Landmannalaugar Park? Why are
the names so long? By the time
you say the name, your reservation
has already been canceled. Where
are the Icelandic poppies?? Do
they grow at a lower elevation?
Another nice picture! - LARRY

Re: Hello Brian,Ha ha. Thanks for the vote! Don't know what those flowers were, I called them Dr. Seuss flowers as they look like the hair on his cartoon characters.
