It was nice until it wasn't  Sucess!

Went up the standard route from the saddle, saw one bull moose, two mountain goats, some marmots, pika, and other little critters along the way. Things were easy enough until the last few hundred feet, then it became a scrambling adventure. I ended up going up through a near dihedral for the last move to the summit.

Couldn't stay long as storms were forecast, so I made my way down the gully and got pelted with some hail and rain. The first bit of thunder was the scariest, thankfully nothing else was that close the rest of the day

Mummy Mania Peak 5  Sucess!

The 5th and hardest peak of the Mummy Mania route. Me and my buddy Ben Kiser came down to the Saddle from Fairchild, and then we set off to try to summit Hagues from more of the Southwest angle. It was a steep climb which was challenging being the 5th peak of the day. Slow progress up to the top. Compared to all the other peaks on Mummy Mania, this boy was no joke.

Mummy Kill Peak 5  Sucess!

Definitely the hardest part of the Mummy Kill route. Jesse and I followed the tundra up until the large rocks bisected the south face of Hagues. We then contoured around to the southeast side of that bisect and picked our way up to a gully which led just east of Hagues summit. I would say that some of the maneuvers we did were more difficult than anything on Longs Peak. Thought about popping over to Rowe but some cloud development and diminishing water dissuaded us.

From Lawn Lake TH  Sucess!

9/18/11 - Attemped as part of Mummy Mania but turned back on Chiquita due to winter-like wind.

9/19/11 - Fairchild, Hagues & Mummy from Lawn Lake. 21 miles, 7000 feet but it went quickly because of the good trail. Just under 10 hours RT.

Peak 2 of 6 under gray % mostly rainy weather. Hiked in from Cow Creek (9 miles), camped at Lawn Lake and exited via the "Dunraven Ridge" to North Fork Trail (GOD AWFUL BUSHWHACK) and North Boundary Trail back to Cow Creek. Brutily long day.
Nice craggy scrambling!

traversed from Mummy  Sucess!

After reaching Mummy from the southeast slopes we traversed over to Hagues. While the route looked like it was going to be somewhat difficult, there was only one small section as we bypassed one of the false summits that required much boulder scrambling. Descended the tundra covered slopes between Hagues and Mummy.

Visited Hague's Peak on a long holiday weekend trek, camped in the swale north of the peak at about 13000 feet and woke up with two inches of snow on my tent on the 4th of July.

Mummy - Hagues - Fairchild  Sucess!

Hiked all three peaks in a day after a camp at the Lawn Lake backcountry campsite. The traverse from Mummy to Hagues provided great views of the Crystal Lakes below Fairchild.

From Lawn Lake TH  Sucess!

I led a youth group on an outing to Lawn Lake. None of them was willing to get up early the next day, so I just went by myself to the summit. I think when I returned to the lake some of them wish they had gotten up.
