Blue bird day on the standard route
This peak looms impressively, looking much more mighty than its relatively modest elevation would suggest. We parked at a lower lot just before the bigger hill climb to the trailhead to spare our AWD wagon the wear and tear of the final .6 miles on dirt road. This is a gem of a peak and a real treat!

no snow left, distant views hazy with smoke from wildfires. I'm not sure this peak belongs with the Elkhead Mts - it is very different from the other peaks, geologically and otherwise.

Ski from County Road 129
Nice day in plenty of snow and clear views from the top.
Started in the morning and found the summit empty of people. A few hours later there were numerous people going up the mountain. The lookout seems to attract a fair share of lightning.

wife and I zipped up in the morning...great views of a very green and wet North Routt.
Great views of the area. I'll be back someday to ski it.

Route : Hahn's Peak Trail
Great hike/climb!! Gives the feel of a higher peak by it's isolation and it's rocky, above timberline summit.

Snow patch hopping.
The road was snowed in just off out of Columbine. But managed to find dry ground the majority of the way to the summit. On the way down stuck to the snow patches for a quick exit. Good views. Not a single other human.

snowy summit
climbed sans snowshoes on a few feet of snow by myself... did not prove to be too difficult. wonderful vistas from the top! the descent was very easy with all the snow; i bounced my way down in about an hour.

I climbed the peak with my Dad and brother. I had a tough time on the rocks, but enjoyed the summit tower.
