Halberd-leaved Violet
This Halberd-leaved violet (Viola hastata) was found on the Ramsay Creek Trail in March 2011, where they were not unusual, but not exactly common either. In past years, I've also seen them in the Elkmont and Tremont drainages, in mid elevations, in both March and April.
