due to too much snow in the Stubai alps we went to Calanda and got nicely rewarded with a 2-day trip. We started at Tamins in Rhine valley and hiked via Kunkelpass to Calanda hut (app. 6,5 h). Next day to the summit, first in fog but we were lucky and the summit rised above the clouds. Finally 2300m direct descent to Haldenstein back in the Rhine valley.

Calanda 2005I climbed this mountain 3times, it was every time a pleasure, however also very hard as a one-day trip
