...original pic of the Half Dome!
this is a famous area for photos, but it was nice to be above the clouds!
Nice exposure. Where is the BASE jumping gear?
Oh, I just downclimbed (yeah right!)
It just raises the hackles dont it? The stuff of mini night-terrors.
That is way up there!
I had them too!
The cloud layer makes it unique.
Yes, sometimes clouds are a good thing.
What an airy photo! I don't think I could have possibly put myself where your friends did...!
I think the lightning was the greater threat this day!
I know what you mean by "electric" air. When I was on top of Half Dome, the air was charged that the granite was literally making crackling noises. My hair was actually standing on end. We high tailed it ASAP and found that the cables were so charged that they actually shocked you. You couldn't take your hands (in gloves) off them. Unsettling to say the least ....
WoW! you got it better than we did!
One of the most classic places in the mountains. That the Dome has such an amazing form and outline surely makes it one of the greatest ever places to reach.
I too would have liked to have BASE jumped, despite that I don't, it shure would save that long, long trek down. But one of the best days of my life to have been there. Return, I must.
Yes, it is heaven on Earth. I wanna BASE jump from mount Thor.
Do you BASE Jump?
The higher, the safer (less dangerous), it appears. At least it gives you some time to sort out trouble. I reckon that if I got myself to skydive, then I would try wingsuits.
Like your handle "Live in the Now"
I do not but It seems like the way to do it on that baby! At about 4000 feet, overhanging, I suppose it is safe. Wingsuits look awesome!
