Re: I thought
Dont worry Eric, I was there and it was GREAT! I wonder why I came back :-)
I usually write the texts of my SP-contributions during lunch break. Actually there is a sort of "text traffic jam" and my Pyrenees adventures are waiting in line.
Pic de Leviste from Hautacam
Pic de Cabaliros from Cauterets
Pic de Neouvielle from Glère valley
Pic des Tourettes / Lac de Migouélou
Le Casque and La Tour
Pic de la Munia
I would have a done more but my party needed rest days, too (to be honest: me too :-)
Sounds nice ! Not bad for the amount of time you went.
Do you mean you've climbed the 3 Conseillers ridge to the Néouvielle ? The Munia tour sounds interesting, I'm curious about the route you took. The Barrosa via ferrata in it ?
If I'm not wrong apart from these 2 plus Gavarnie, the rest of the peaks are to be posted :)
I will post Leviste, Cabaliros and La Tour. Pic des Tourettes will be a route or a trip report because we did not reach the main summit as I had no information how to get there (now I know :-).
We did Neouvielle via Refuge de la Glère, Lac det Mails and Breche de Chaussenque (1800 m of altitude difference ......). La Munia was the Cirque de Troumouse - route with the hidden chute and the Paso del Gato - I did not see any via ferrata. Is it on the spanish side?
I would have liked to add Ardiden or Grand Gabizos or Vignemale but as I said we needed some rest days and we had 2,5 bad weather days, too. But I´m completely happy with our hikes / climbs and my wish list is even longer now I´m beginning to know the region better.
Another year! Cheers, Michael
