Thank you Sacha. Its actually a very interesting area and its isolation just adds to its fascination. I'd love to trace the Applegate cutoff trail someday. This part of Nevada is so rich with pioneer-gold seekers history that I stop now at the California trails interpretive center every time I go through Elko.
