I left KC in pouring rain at 8:10am Central, stopped for about half an hour in Sioux City for lunch and a fuel-up, stopped for a 10-minute fill & stretch in Kadoka, and about 45-minutes for dinner in Rapid City. Even with all that, I rolled into Hill City at exactly 7pm Mountain.
So that's 11:50 - ~1:30 in stops = about 10h 20m of driving. That's in the rain, and including all of the annoying I-29 construction zones in Iowa. I'm pretty sure Google called it 10h 22m, which explains why I love Google Maps!

Nice jobSo how many hours did it take you to drive from KC to Rapid City? I can't wait to drive out there and see that area!
