Other peaksin the photo are Fletcher Peak on the left side, Gass Peak in the distance near the center of the photo, Muddy Peak (technically only the un-named range highpoint, not Muddy Peak itself) in the hazy distance (near center), Sunrise & Frenchman Mountain in the distant right (a glimpse of Lake Mead to the right of that), and La Madre Peak on the right side of the photo. I can't say for sure, but it also looks like Quartzite Peak behind Gass Peak, and faintly off in the distance, perhaps Virgin Peak (outside of Mesquite).

Re: Other peaksBetter description after reviewing the photo: Gass Peak is near the upper left center (make sense?) of the photo to the left of the white sandy looking part of northern Las Vegas, Muddy Peak is in the upper right center (hard to make out), Sunrise & Frenchman are hard to make out in the haze as well to the right of the Muddy range, and La Madre Peak is the obvious ridge behind Harris Mountain. Virgin Peak (I think) is in the upper left corner behind Quartzite and Gass Peaks.

Re: Other peaksI was wondering what this view would look like on a day without any haze. Thanks for the mentioning of what it is that this pic shows. The peaks in the Las Vegas area are a real treasure chest that can keep a person busy.

Re: Other peaksHow true. Although they often look small and featureless from a vantage point like this, most of them are very worthwhile objectives.
When I moved to Vegas 3 years ago, I set a goal to climb every single peak that can be seen from the Vegas valley before I moved away again. A bigger job than I'd expected! Needless to say, I've got my work cut out for me. A lot of nameless, but striking, desert peaks surround the valley and make for interesting, and fairly challenging, endeavors.
