Haydar down-leading a section...

Haydar down-leading a section of the NE ridge on the descent. This is a small gendarme along the narrow section of the ridge. Great views of the Pickets in the background. This was the only section that we downclimbed (simulclimbed). The rest was rappelled. (August 14, 2005).

Great shot on a classic route. Our group was struck by lightning (not direct, but first of 3x) at this same point. The rest of the way was "how fast can we get down without killing ourselves!."
