Re: Grant MacEwen pictureFinally I hiked the Horseshoe. The first bump in the panorama above has the summit register, which says "Grant Macewen Peak, named in 2006". So I corrected the picture.
The register notebook is gone, and people have been stuffing the PVC with scraps of paper and candy wrappers, with their names and dates.
This route is so popular, that instead of a register they should install a city phone book, you just have to check off your name.
BTW the north-facing slope after GMPeak was covered with a snowdrift. Everybody had fun glissading down. Woo-Hoo!
