Interesting colors...

Must be oxide stains and exuding rank copper, if I'm saying that right. Look toxic, but intriguing nonetheless. Similar to anything you saw or smelled on Ojos?

Good question! Actually most of the rock on Ojos was pumice. The whole area is surrounded by pumice and when the wind blows, it shakes up this fine white dust.

Adit

A shaft is a vertical mine entrance opening at the surface.

A horizontal mine opening is an adit.
