Super fun solid rock knife edge with exposure 800 foot drops. Beautiful day in the Uintahs.

Sunny
Nice day hike from Henry Fork trailhead, took just under 12 hours and was roughly 26 miles round trip taking the shortcut from Gunsight Pass. No thunderstorms whatsoever, just a really nice day.

Easier than it looks
Fun scramble, but mostly class 2+, with a few class 3 moves thrown in.

+ Kings
With Craig Lloyd, Matt Williams, Nate Younger and Tara Summers. From Henry's Fork trailhead. We hit Kings and then made the traverse over to Henry's Fork. The weather was threatening, but we lucked out and made it all the way back to the trailhead without getting wet. The ridge is phenomenal, one of the best I have been on.
Climbed from Henry's Fork Lake. After we summited, we cruised over to Cliff Point with ominous clouds on the horizon. The exposure on the ridge leading from Anderson Knob to Henry's Fork Peak is impressive

Henrys Fk Pk
One of my favorite UT 13ers. Fun scramble up from Anderson Pass- the exposure on the north side of the ridge is exhilarating.
09/08/11 Great peak. I really enjoyed the exposer and the ridge line is SOLID!

Via Mount Powell traverse
Did the traverse from Powell, Henry's, Kings and Dome. Sticking the west ridge required a few class 4 moves.

Fun summit ridge
Climbed this with Moogie737 and Brent on a beautiful September day from Henrys Fork. No mosquitoes and the bog is all dry this time of year. The summit ridge was fun.
First one a one-day twofer, the 2nd from Dollar Lake
#1 09-16-2008 Along w/ Brent & Zeejay on a fantastic mid-September offing we shot in and out in one day (less than 12 hours r/t). We used the so-called shortcut and climbed through 4"-5" of snow on the top 1/3 of the chute. (I agree with the author of this page and don't recommend the chute.) The ridge to H.F.P. summit is magnificent. It took us only 15 additional minutes to scramble over to Cliff Point. We returned the same way. #2 09-08-21 W/ Lana. Thirteen years since my last time here and my slow time up showed the passage of time. Nonetheless it was a beautiful summit, one we reached after Lana pushed through a sickness and negotiated the rough terrain with grit and fortitude.

Kings Peak / Henrys Fork Peak Combo
Lucked out with fantastic weather. The meadows and grasslands were in bloom with waterfalls running at full capacity. Can it get any better?
Much more fun to climb than Kings Peak, with better views also. Climbed the east ridge from Anderson Pass, but the west ridge also looks to have some awesome climbing/scrambling.

Independence Day
3rd 13'er on a beautiful 4th of July. Certainly more enjoyable than Kings.
Route Climbed: Anderson Pass/knife edge ridge Date Climbed: August 1991
Summitted via Anderson Pass
I've also been to the area around Anderson Pass (400 feet from the summit) from about every point on the compass, including Henry's Fork, West Fork Whiterocks, Yellowstone Creek, Uinta River, etc when climbing various peaks in the area. All this was done between 1987 and 2001.

This is the best of the 13'ers, in my opinion.
