Six day trip in November 2017: Day 1- down the Hermit Trail to the Boucher Trail, high camp at Yuma Point; Day 2- scramble up White Butte, down the trail to camp at Boucher Creek; Day 3- day hike to Boucher Rapids & out the Tonto west to Slate Creek, camp again at Boucher Creek; Day 4- out the Tonto east and down to Hermit Rapids camp on the beach; Day 5- move camp up to Hermit Camp and dayhike out the Tonto east to Monument Creek; Day 6- back up the Hermit Trail to the rim. Excellent trip with great people!
Hermits rest to hermits rapids to boucher rapids to slate to yuma point to hermits rest. Awesome trip with dad.
Fun trail without much traffic. Unseasonably warm.
First time to the Grand Canyon. Great trail, broken up nicely with switch backs and traverses. Really enjoyed hermit creek canyon. Extremely hot but had a great time with new friends!
Beautiful 2 day backpack to the Hermit Rapids and back to the rim. Trail is not as bad as advertised in my opinion. April was an ideal time to go as the inner canyon was a wonderful temperature, though the rim was cold.
Did Hermit to Tonto to Bright Angel. A very long day but a great hike
it was my first trip into the canyon, it will not be my last
trail. Heavy packs down make sore knees.
A very hot hike! One of our teammates ran out of water. Very steep switchbacks.
