We chased a couple bears away on our trip. Lots of snow still left in September.
6 peaklets, 10 hours 20 minutes car to car.
Great scramble on traditional July 5th hike with my buddy Magellan.
Nice hike up to Spray Park and up to the saddle to tag Hessong and Pleasant. It would have been nice to see something except clouds though. Couldn't see much more than about 200-300 feet the entire time. Guess I will come back and do the loop to get Fay Peak included.
Easy finish to a long day. Did first mother mtn, fay peak, and mt pleasant before in a nice alpine traverse.
Yeah he had me lead during the bear encounter. The bear knew what was up and kept it's distance! Ha Ha!
Yep, the peak is all hat with no cattle. http://www.willhiteweb.com/mount_rainier_national_park/hessong_rock/mount_pleasant_221.htm
