Route Climbed: Slope off of Mount Howard Date Climbed: August 2005
Backcountry trip from Mount Howard spanning over to Polaris Pass where we dropped down into the Wallowa drainage to hike out. Had great weather during the mid-August days but temperatures during the night were often colder than anticipated. Moving towards Polaris Peak on the trail we met several parties, but mostly had the mountains to ourselves.

Hidden Peak is a great viewpoint to see a terrific Wallowa vista. Also tagged East Peak on the way over to Hidden and Dennis Poulin went on to do Aneroid as well. I called it quits at Hidden and enjoyed reading the register log which dated back to 1989.
Route Climbed: West slope of Hidden Peak Date Climbed: August 22, 1995
Came up the west slope of Hidden Peak from the East Fork Wallowa River. After these two summits I continued south to Aneroid, descended the south side of that and returned down the East Fork canyon. I have also reached both these summits via the Mt. Howard Tram on other occasions.

Route Climbed: Tram-East-Hidden Date Climbed: 18 September 2005This was a great hike on beautiful day. The $19 tram ride was worth the money.
