High peaks in southern Peru

To the left, about 140km away, is Nevado Coropuna (6425m), the highest mountain in southern Peru. In the center, from left to right, are Nevado Ampato (6288m), Nevado Sabancaya (5976m) and Nevado Hualca Hualca (6025m). The closest one of this group, Ampato, is about 55km away. After Coropuna it's the second highest mountain in the wider Arequipa region in southern Peru. Seen from Chachani (6057m). 18 May 2011.
