"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Re-visit to claim HPThis was a re-visit to claim the high point. Living in NJ I have visited and hiked this park on numerous occasions. However I can not find any pictures from the past to document/prove my summit. I have old post cards, an old banner and an old patch purchased from the environmental center, but no pictures right now. I will find them! Any ways this also proved that I enjoyed the winter hibernation toooooo much:( I had to stop once/twice/three times to catch my breath as we ascended some portions. So its off to the gym to get the cardio going again and prepare for Mt. Marcy.

End to a rainy weekendDrove up here after a rainy weekend in the Berkshires. skies were clearing which made for a beautiful view, but it was way windy.

Got NJ!Reached the high point at 8:30 am on July 30, 2009. I forgot the Highpointers convention was going on. The tower was open so my daughter and I climbed to the top. It was a bit foggy due to the rain/storms that went through the night before. Nice area and park. Would like to go back to spend some more time.

LOVED IT!After driving through endless miles of New Jersey suburbia and traffic lights, this state park was a treat! Quiet and peaceful with nice views and a great cool wind. LOVED IT!

#2 SHP - beginning the questMy 9-year old daughter Vanessa and I started our highpoint quest in September 1985, going to Vermont, New Jersey, and Delaware. 24 years later I completed #49, and have no intent to go to Alasaka.

Super Cold, but fun!Climbed this in lots of snow, and right after a ice storm. So branches of shrubs were hanging over the trail, making hiking very hard. It was around -12 with the wind chill, but still a great hike with a clear view!

Not quite a hike...Drove from Connecticut after Thanksgiving to tag this easy highpoint. At least to make it more interesting, it was raining hard, so I climbed this in full-on autumn conditions...

windyDrove over from Scranton, PA for my 6th state highpoint. It was very windy and quite cold up top. We couldn't believe how few people were there - we only saw 5 other visitors. We only hiked from the parking lot, but we did take a nice little hike around the swamp in the park.

HP #15It was rather windy when we got up there. No obelisk ascent, as it was closed for winter. But not bad looking for a highpoint!
