after hiking Mt. Wire and Graunder Peak in Wasatch near Salt Lake City as well as hiking in Canyonlands and arches national Park I decided that Peter can make a furteener ( mountaine above 14000 ft or 4250 m)
To get a little bit acclimatised on the eve of the hike I drove our car from Salt LAke City to the highest paved road in North america near Mt. Evans. ( almost 14000 ft)
We did mountain Bierstadt on Independence
We did mountain Bierstadt on Independence Day so it was not surprising trhat there was a planty of hikers on th trail. There were about a dozen kids younger then 12 on this hike, but only about half of them made to the summit.
Peter hiked most of the steps up without hand support, most of the way down I hold his hand and I had never carried him.

After the summit Peter become sleepy and I let him sleep for 25-30 min. on a relativly warm rock.
The interesting thing at the end of the hike that when we came to the trailhead Peter leapt on a small boulder and rose his hands proud of this amazing for his age accomplishment. also he fell asleep only in 50-60 min after I started driving down on unpaved road to our hotel, well after his "big" and experienced sisters had been sleeping.
