Great page!

You described this mountain perfectly, Michael! Just one remark: For the north chute ski route I would not say it's for experienced ski hikers. I don't know expressions in German language, but here we distinguish between tour skiing and alpinistic skiing (like the distinction between hiking and climbing). The north chute looks more an alpinistic ski tour and would be interesting to know how steep the chute is.

Cheers!

Re: Great page!

Hello Vid,
thank you for your comment, vote and your remark. As my English might be not so good I´m wondering wether there are better English expressions than "ski hike", "ski tour". Is the expression "alpinistic skiing" or "alpinistic ski tour" appropriate for e.g. the ski ascent to Hochglück summit? In German "alpin skifahren" means - funnily enough - to use cable cars and ski runs.
It would be interesting to hear about that from a native speaker.
The north chute is steep (unfortunately I did not found any information about how steep) and the whole undertaking is not for beginners. So I decided on the term "for experienced ski ..." and added the need of an ice axe and crampons.
If there is an English expression to "say it all in one word" I happily will edit that part of the page.
Cheers, Michael
