Ice season is marvelous  Sucess!

Winter is a magical time in this area. The ice was amazing. The frozen waterfalls were a treat. Unfortunately, the trails were a sheet of ice, too. My poor Dad took a pretty good digger during our descent.

It's become a family tradition to hike this on (or near) New Year's Day. Winter is a great time to hike here.

Route Rappelled: waterfall  Sucess!

Been through here several times, the day used is from my last trip to the climbing / rappelling area. We spent the weekend here doing lots of rappelling and ascending practice. It's hard to find a place in Ohio with a 120 foot drop! We rigged right next to the waterfall for about 110 feet of free. Now if Ohio only had vertical caves...

Used to go out there with family and friends before moving to California. Additionally, we used to go to the outdoor play 'Tecumseh' each year. Very fond memories.....

What a great place. Definitely the gem of Ohio. I have hiked this area most of my life. Some years we would camp in the state park three or four times. Beautiful flora and interesting fauna make this a great place to spend a vacation. Not much elevation gain here, but the natural beauty is worth experiencing.
