Hot Hogback hike
A rather hot day by UP standards; upper 80's! Great trail (South Trailhead)with some fun scrambling near the summit. I think the secret is out, as we shared the summit with well over 10 other hikers!

Wintry Wonderland
A beautiful snowshoe ascent with light flurries providing atmosphere. I loved this. Also, my first snowshoe ascent in the UP.

finally got a chance to get over to this beauty...the hike was awesome, and the views were incredible. one of the best michigan has to offer, no doubt!

Winter Ascent
Soloed from the Wetmore Ponds trailhead in a pleasant third day blizzard. Unfortunately no visibility at the summit but I really enjoyed the whole experience as Hogback really had a nice elevation gain at the end with some traversing neccessary to reach the top.

The Best in Michigan
Have been to the summit too many times to count. Loved it every time. Fun exploring west along the ridge in the winter.
With the few trees, lots of snow and ice on and around the summit, as well as the cliffy features at the top, this tiny little mountain had quite the pleasing alpine(ish) feel.
