Re: Very impressive!I thought the same thing. For me it was more or less the first time seeing Sonnblick like this, giving me a completely different impression.
Via the approach from Heiligenblut you see just the upper part of Sonnblick, giving you the impression, it's more a "hill" with glacier.
I guess the reason is, because the traverse of Hocharn and Goldzechkopf is less frequented (more difficult with climbing sections, no hut nearby - only the bivouac etc.).
From the bivouac in the morning until reaching the Sonnblick-route on Kleine Fleiss glacier we met just 1 (!) climber during the whole day (we had both summits completely for ourselves). Back on the Sonnblick route we met app. 20 people within an hour...
