Brighton Ridge Run
Did a variation of the Brighton Ridge Run with David, summiting 6 peaks (Tuscarora, Millicent, Wolverine, Patsy Marley, Honecomb Cliffs, and Evergreen) with good views of Lake Mary, Lake Martha, Lake Catherine, Twin Lakes Reservoir, and Silver Lake along the way. We were lucky to do this on a day when the smoke from fires wasn't quite so bad. See "Peakbagger's Delight" trip report for details.

Brighton Ridge Run
Brandon R. and I decided to try to bag a few peaks at Brighton. We started in the parking lot and went past Mary, Martha, and Catherine Lakes. We then went up Catherine Pass. From there, we hiked to the summit of Tuscarora, then Millicent, Wolverine, Patsy Marley, Honeycomb Cliffs, and Evergreen. On the way down we went by Twin Lakes and Silver Lake. It was a fun a route and a great day in the mountains.

Evercomb
Scrambled up with my wife after bagging Evergreen. The ridge scramble was really fun! The views into Big and Little Cottonwood were awesome. Great peak for a quick day hike from Silver Lake.

Via Siler Fork
Came up from Silver Fork. Visited the mines along the way. Did the last little scramble along the ridge line heading south to the top. This was a great hike with nice side trips.
Ran up from Alta and did Honeycomb Cliffs first, then Patsy Marley, and then over Wolverine and Tuscarora down to Catherine's Pass and back down Albion Basin to the car. It was an incredible day up there.
On the way up, we passed through a small aspen grove. I asked my friend, "how's YOUR aspen?"
He was unamused.

October hiking is the best
Go right (west) around the reservoir. We hiked it from Big CC. Thanks, Anders, for getting me back into hiking. I miss the freedom of the hills.

Best in Fall
This hike is short, but amazing. Me and my buddy went left around the lake instead of right...it made for some interesting bush whacking. Even so it only took us about an hour and a half to get to the top.
The autumn colors were spectacular and the distant ridge-lines were sexy. Now it just needs to snow so we can ski already. Gosh!

Snowshoeing a Winter Wonderland
#1 First summit of the year on 22Feb2014. Snowshoed to SE summit from Alta parking lot via the Grizzly Gulch snowcat road and ski trails. Temp at Alta was 26 degrees. The wind was about 20-25 knots with some light snow and a lot of drifting snow. Will get the NW summit next time.
#2 On 26Feb2014 reached the NW summit on a clear sunny day.
#3 Reached the SE summit for the second time on 28Mar2014. The weather was perfect. Broke trail to the summit from the road in about 6 - 8 inches of snow.
#4 Hiked to the SE summit for a summer hike.
