Very nice photo!! Just uau! :-)
Thanks Bor. Someone else thought so once, and I won a trip back to Nepal in a contest with this photo!
A well deserved trip. This would have been an excellent B&W photo, with the hikers silhouetted against the snow. Color contrast, however, adds to this image. Was it tricky to get the right exposure?
Thanks Brenta. I got lucky and the camera picked the right exposure. Having the foreground slope probably helped with the averaging. I had one shot at this since everyone was on the move. One second later the lead hiker was about out of sight and the dynamics of the scene had changed.
Surely without the human presence the photo would have lost a great part of its charm.
Thanks livioz. After this photo won a contest I spent some time analyzing it, what made it work? I came up with several important elements, but having people heading into the scene is a big one.
only today I have seen this marvel.
Extraordinary photo with 3D effect.
Thanks much lorenzo. One of my lucky shots.
I can see why you won the contest.
Thanks man, much appreciated. Makes me want to go back there whenever I see this shot!
