High Point #1  Sucess!

First we had to visit the home state high point! Well-kept, not easy to find.

Highpoint with the Fam!  Sucess!

HP #20 - Took my two small girls and 68 year old mom and 70 year old aunt. The highpoint and log stored within a decorated mailbox are about a 300 foot walk in the woods. For me, highpointing is often a time of solitude, particularly since much of my family is either too young, old to attempt some of the other peaks. This was a beautiful drive in the farmland around and is a great combination summit with Campbell Hill in Ohio.

Cool Woods (#10)  Sucess!

4th of July state number 2. I don't have much to say. This one looked a lot like a high school drinking hangout, complete with dirtbike tire marks on the bench.

Really nothing to see  Sucess!

There really isn't a way to make this a climb/hike. It is just a little sitting area just off of the road. It was something to check off of the list. There is no USGS pin at this location.

Who's Your Highpoint?  Sucess!

Another person was there to see what the highpoint of Indiana looked like. State highpoint #18.

HP# 4  Sucess!

Had a couple weeks off from work, decided to take a trip to the East from IL to hit a bunch of HPs. (HP 1 of 9 during this trip.) Pretty unspectacular HP with little to no view, still cool though.

High Point #20  Sucess!

Nice high point done in conjunction today with Ohio's. Nice little spot next to some farm land and in a little forested spot. Some freezing rain but all in all nice. No hike at all either but I suppose check it off the list and at least there was some nature!

HP #43  Sucess!

Of the 48 highpoints I have visited, this one ranks up there with Mississippi as the most disappointing high points. I mean, ya gotta visit each one, but Indiana takes no pride in their highest point. Not even sure it’s the highest point. More of a tiny little section of farmland that they didn’t want to sacrifice, and it really has an attitude of, “well I guess they’re going to make us say we have a highpoint so we gotta do something.”

Highpoint #19  Sucess!

An unremarkable drive-up HP, but enjoyed the typical Indiana cornfield as I'm not from the region. Some decent markers. In the middle of nowhere, nice change from the busier roads of Ohio, Delaware, and Rhode Island's HPs.

Indiana Hoosier Hill

Evening visit on a warm and sunny day. Highpoint just off the road and in the woods. Nice marker/sign.

Nice stop on the way to Arizona. Easy to find, and a good place to stop for lunch.

Got up very early on my trip to the Appalachians and had some issues finding this in the dark - but succeeded.

Cold and isolated  Sucess!

Heading on a road trip around the southeast. Decided to try for various state high points. This one is, actually, delightful. I'm so glad the property owners welcoming visitors.
