The mosquitoes were swarming and annoying. It was unfortunate somebody had drawn a little graffiti on the highpoint sign. However, I really appreciate the effort in making this a nice HP for the public.
I celebrated with my first trip to a "White Castle" restaurant (yummy!!!) on the way to Illinois...
This was the fifth of seven HPs attained on my most ambitious weekend HP road trip to date.

HP #34
Grabbed the 2nd of 2 HP's in one day. Headed over from OH and enjoyed views of the pastures on a warm, breezy day. HP#34!
The same can be said of both the highpoint and the road that leads there, which was actually the "highpoint" of this highpoint. However, choose your spot carefully if you wish to jump your car over one of the whoops. The road bears the scars dug by the cars whose drivers didn't. HP7
Attended the 2nd Brewers/Reds game in 2 days. Brewers won 5-3. Drove to Hoosier Highpoint in the evening and then stayed in Westfield, Indiana before driving back to Wisconsin the next day. One of the more boring highpoints I have done. Farmers were not even in the fields yet. 1381 miles roundtrip. HP #32.

Winter summit on Groundhog Day
I live in Indianapolis, so I made the 7-hour round trip to Campbell Hill in Ohio (my first highpoint!), and then hit Hoosier Hill for my 2nd on the way back. I have also learned that I will not take any more 90-lb energetic Weimaraners on long car trips again....ever! Bonding experience turned into a nightmare of drool and hair!!!!

We did this highpoint with Campbell Hill in Ohio. We are all very fortunate that the lady who owns this land lets us access the highpoint. Many thanks to her!

First state HP I visited that had a summit log. Fun to read...the only redeeming quality of this HP. Thanks to the owners, though, for permitting access.

My brother was moving from Colorado to Pennsylvania, and we were taking I-70. It was a short drive from the interstate (though bumpy) so we made the stop. HP #12.
Drove over from IL. Visited Campbell Hill on 7/14/07 and Hoosier Hill on 7/15/07. HP #20. WooHoo!

Pretty funny; we were asking directions to the owner where the HP stands and he had absolutely no idea of what we were talking about... His neighbor gave us the proper directions and got us back to his land!!
No sign there when we went but they have renovated the whole place... We went back this last summer

Route Climbed: Elliot Road
Driving from Boston to Terre Haute, saw that it was really close to the highway and decided to stop by it. The rollercoaster of a road out to it was fun. The highpoint itself not to interesting, but it was a great way to get off the interstate and see the real Indiana.
My employer sent me to Indianapolis for some training. We had free weekend and my co-worker wanted to visit Hoosier Hill while I wanted to visit some caves. Unfortunately, I let the co-worker (whom shall remain nameless) have the final say and we went to Hoosier Hill.
It’s not even a hill and I’ll never forgive my co-worker for this. This is the single most disappointing and sorriest excuse for a hill I’ve seen in my life! Needless to say, I will never go there again.
(No offence to anyone whom might actually like this place, but I didn't in the least).
