Re: Good eye to see that one. Thanks, I did check the site. His horned lizard looks different, but I guess there are many different species as I was reading on line. I have seen quiet a few of these in NM.

Re: Good eye to see that one. It's a well-known fact that SP has a lot of
Horny Toads posted on various pages.
I have studied the Horned Lizard at great
length, and have seen many in Arizona and
northern Utah.
There does seem to be several species of this
fellow. A rare find in the Grand Canyon, the
Desert Horned lizard has larger head spines
than those found on other species in Arizona.
Like it's larger cousin the Chuckwalla, these
guys are loyal members of the Iguana Family.
Nice Horny Toad, Liba!

Re: Good eye to see that one. When overstressed, some species shoot blood
out of their eyes.
We're looking at a laid-back reptile here!

Pretty cool camouflage!I'd like to spot one of those. Do they live just in desertic zones?

Re: Pretty cool camouflage!I have seen several of these creatures. There are several subspecies. I believe all live in dry climates...
