Drove up (Subaru AWD) to the junction with 17N27B, then walked the last 800 feet to the summit (0.3 miles round trip). Road was a bit rutted. Dirt bikers seem to like to drive around in circles on the summit (lots of tracks)

Getting lost while doing all the exploring you do isn't boneheaded but more of a potential event. Going solo without the 10 essentials in your pack wasn't helpful :)
