White out conditions, high winds & ground blizzard. Climbed Boudoir and down the standard. Bit of a brutal day.

Hiked with Ruvicha (entry below) and two other friends. Our last hike of the summer and what felt like the easiest. Nice views to the west, north and east from Horseshoe's summit.
Hiked up Horseshoe in bright weather and a strong, chilly wind, then added Peerless on the way back.
Some 14ers.com members and I decided to climb Horseshoe Mountain. I didn't sleep at all the prior night and was not feeling well, so early in the morning I decided to take an alternate route. I walked up the mining track to near Mount Sheridan before cutting across to the Sheridan/Peerless Saddle. I then went over the summit of Peerless Mountain and to the summit of Horseshoe Mountain.
When I reached the summit of Horseshoe Mountain, there was one other person waiting on top. The others were still climbing the Boudoir Couloir. After meeting the rest of the climbers, I spent a while on time before gissading down the couloir. It was a fast ride down.
The rest of the descent went well, but I didn't bring snowshoes so there was quite a bit of post-holing.
Skiied Boudoir Col. Parked along road between Sherman parking area and Leavick Mine. Ascended to saddle between Peerless and HS. Quickly went up Peerless, then up to HS. Met two guys, both named Alex, and skied the col with them. It had avalanched maybe the day prior or the day prior to that. Long slide path and wide debris field. Appears to have swept about 5 inches of soft wet snow with it. About 10 minutes after we skied it, we were boot packing it by the upper lake and another big slide happened from a high snowfield north of the major cliff bands. It sounded like a giant gust of wind.
Climbed this in a white-out in the morning, before tagging Silverheels in the afternoon. The things we do for peak lists... Trip report.
North Ridge in winter with Rachael. Had to park around 11,000 a little below Leavick due to snow on the road. Fairly wind scoured above treeline, especially the final summit ridge from the Peerless saddle. Windy, but otherwise fairly warm day.
Great hike with my fiance. Beautiful views.
Started with Sheridan, crossed Peerless, on to Horseshoe, out to Ptarmigan and back.
Started with Sheridan, traversed to Peerless, and onto Horseshoe.
Very windy, solo hike (Duchess stayed at home, I was returning from a work conference). Nobody else out, only a few people on Mt. Sherman.
Did Sheridan to Peerless to Horseshoe with Heather and Buster.
Enjoyed the wildflowers and old mines along the way with some of my non-climber friends. All made the summit.
Excellent day. Snow is melting fast; should have brought my skis. Did this with Peerless.
Solo climb and ski of Boudoir Couloir. Nearly continuous snow from Leavick minus two short parts on the road that were melted out and had to pop the skis off briefly. Sun hits this one early, keep that in mind on warm spring days!
I hiked 7 13ers and one fourteener. A great all day trip. Started at Leavick mining site. Hihed Horseshoe Mountain, Finnback Knob, Horseshoe Mountain again, Peerless Mountain, Mt. Sheridan, Mt. Sherman, Gemini Peak, Dyer Mountain and White Ridge. Great day.
sunny an d no one else on the mountain
In my Mosquito Range traverse
Nice hike with my wife. (Girlfriend at the time.) Chilly, but had a good time.
Via Boudoir Coulior.
Did the hike together with voxnihili and we saw as many bears as people (one each). Also saw a group of bighorn sheep. We also went across to Peerless. Eventhough voxnihili had some car problems it was overall a great first hike of my '11 CO trip.
