Both summits
I scrambled both summits after visiting Horsetooth Falls and seeing my first rattlesnake en route. Very busy park!!

First Trip
A fun hike for a January morning. Not as crowded as I expected, but still couldn't go more than 15 minutes without coming across other people. Great place to take out of towners who want a rookie Colorado hiking experience. Fun scramble to the top of the rock.

Old time climb
Climbed Horsetooth back when it was private land, part of Soderberg Ranch. Always felt like I was trespassing! There were no real trails on the mountain back then.

Via Soderberg Trail
The first time I took both of my sons on a summit hike. The youngest was 6 at the time and really enjoyed the scrambling and even more the caterpillars on all the bushes along the way.

top rope
This was my first hike up Horsetooth with MountainHikerette. We went up again the next day 11-5-95. We also returned 9-8-96. There was a fixed bolt we set up a top rope on.

I did this while in college at CSU. In 1990, my roommate and I hiked from Allyson Hall, up the hogback, past Horsetooth Reservoir, to the trailhead and up the mountain...and then back. We left at 5am, got back at 5pm, and figured we logged 24 miles. We did it because neither of us had a car, and my roommate didn't have a bike.
A climb with the entire family, but only my father, sister, and I made it to the top. A nice scramble at the end, I really enjoyed it. The views from the top were spectacular.

First Hike from Ft. Collins
Took a late afternoon hike up this one from Fort Collins. Would be a great vantage point for sunset photography if the clouds were arranged favorably. Not sure I'd recommend this for hikers with older dogs. Parts of the final scramble up the rock itself were a bit dicey for him.

Lots of fun ...
... possibilities up there. Went for south tooth, and found some spots trickier than they looked, others easier than they looked. A good afternoon of messing around on rock. Warm day. I immagine this pleasant hike is a nasty sweat-scuker on a 95-degree day.
My cousin lives in Fort Collins. Went with a friend and took our bikes, great trails! It was rainy so I did not get the views :(

Many times from 1991-1998
Hiked, camped, ran and mountain biked pretty much every trail in Horsetooth Mountain Park and climbed all three parts of Horsetooth Rock. The middle portion was the best! Climbed Horsetooth Falls as well. An absolutely wonderful area.

Climbed many times
Have climbed many times since moving to Fort Collins. It is a nice place and the falls are cool to sit under after a good summer hike.
