A hot air balloon, an entrant in the annual Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally, passes up the west side of New Mexico's Organ Mountains. Organ Needle (elev. 8,990 ft.) is the prominence to the far right and is the high point of the range as well as Doña Ana County. Photo taken 1/19/08.

Nice January

balloon shot, Ray! I'm guessing you were also in a balloon when you got this picture. How close are the balloons to each other! Looks like a lotta fun. - Larry :)

Hey, thanks Larry. I wasn't in a balloon....would've been nice though. They had a tethered balloon ride with a long line of folks waiting to float up 20 or so feet. It would have to go a lot higher than that for me to jump in that line!
