FYI; This peak is one of the mountains sacred to the Navajo (and maybe other Native Americans-I am not an expert)and is called Dzilna'oodilii, or "the mountain around which movement occurs". It represents one of the 6 cardinal points for the Navajo,. La Blanca, Mount Taylor, Humphreys Peak, and Hesperus are four additional peaks that have pages on this website and correspond to East, South, West and North, respectively. Walk in Beauty.
